Rainbow Token to Launch via Uniswap CCA

Uniswap has announced that Rainbow’s native token, RNBW, will be the next project to launch using the Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA) mechanism. The announcement follows the rollout of Uniswap’s new CCA front-end UI and marks one of the earliest project launches to make use of the updated interface.

Rainbow joins a small but growing group of projects experimenting with CCA-based token distribution, following Aztec Network’s earlier auction.

Auction Parameters and Structure

According to details shared by Uniswap and Rainbow, the RNBW launch will follow a two-phase structure:

  • A pre-commitment period, allowing participants to signal demand ahead of the auction
  • A multi-day Continuous Clearing Auction, during which tokens are sold block by block

The auction is conducted in USDC on Base and includes a defined floor price, establishing a minimum valuation for the sale. Price discovery occurs above this floor as demand clears continuously throughout the auction.

Participants commit USDC at the maximum price they are willing to pay, with allocations settling at the clearing price for each block. Auction proceeds are directed toward on-chain liquidity at the final clearing price.

Why This Matters

Rainbow’s adoption of CCA highlights a broader shift in DeFi token launches toward:

  • More transparent and automated distribution mechanisms
  • Reduced reliance on private allocations and opaque pricing
  • Direct integration between token distribution and liquidity formation

As Uniswap continues to develop CCA infrastructure, each new launch provides real-world data on how these auctions perform under live market conditions.

What Comes Next

With the auction parameters now public, attention will turn to participation levels and price discovery once the RNBW auction begins. These metrics will form the basis for deeper post-launch analysis.

DefiHub will continue tracking the Rainbow CCA and plans to publish follow-up coverage as on-chain data becomes available, including participation metrics and auction dynamics.
